A mosque inside in the Facilities Security Forces Center in the Eastern Province caught fire due to an electrical malfunction. Othman Al-Asmary, public relations director of the force, said the fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which started in a small building and there were no injuries reported. Fire in car parts warehouse doused JEDDAH — Civil Defense firefighters doused a fire that broke out in a car parts warehouse in the industrial area of Jeddah on Saturday. Makkah Civil Defense spokesman Col. Saeed Sarhan said the fire ripped through a 50 square meter area of the warehouse. There were another warehouse and eight stores nearby but the firemen extinguished the fire before it spread. No deaths or injuries were reported. Dhiba Customs Control Director Ali Al-Atawi said a ship docked at the port carrying several vehicles on board. Officers who inspected the vehicles found 414,000 amphetamine pills stuffed inside the rear tires of one of the trucks on board. The pills were seized and the smugglers arrested. Private medical center shut down BURAIDAH — The Health Affairs shut down a private medical complex for multiple violations. The director for private medical centers at Qassim Health Affairs, Saleh Al-Saeed, said the directorate runs regular inspection campaigns on all private health institutions. All violations are regularly recorded and penalties are justly implemented. The private medical complex the directorate shut down had no nursing staff and had failed to implement vaccination requirements for its employees. 153 emergency cases in one week BAHA — The Red Crescent received 153 emergency reports during the past week. Baha Red Crescent spokesman Emad Al-Zahrani said the majority of the reports involved road accidents. The Red Crescent responded to all cases in record time and all victims were transported to hospitals within the governorate.
