JEDDAH — Fourteen matches took place in the first two weeks of the WPCA Summer Tournament sponsored by Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) here.
Thirty-two clubs in the Morning session and 27 in the Afternoon session were part of the draw that took place in the first week of April.
Shabbir of Jotun Paints and Abdulrahim of ATC hit centuries, while Luqman of Al-Kabbani and Iqbal Patel of Sadafco shone with the ball.
ALJ Toshiba defeated Jeddah Tigers by 83 runs. ALJ Toshiba piled up 170. Basheer stroked 38, Zahid 20 and Bilal 23. Sameer grabbed 4 for 13 and Venkat Nanajee 2. Jeddah Tigers was restricted to 87. Venkat Nanajee made 27. Azeem took 2 wickets.
Morning Session
Royal Brothers beat Cousins XI by 13 runs. Royal Brothers produced 142 for 5. Hanif scored 32, Waqar Abbas 33 and Waqas 28 not out. Haider took 3-23.
Cousins XI was stranded at 129 for 8. Irfan Khan made 64. Afsar Khan took 3-10, while Abdullah and Ali grabbed 2 each.
Al-Kabbani Cricket Group crushed AGA by 9 wickets. AGA crashed for 56 as Luqman grabbed 4 for 18 including a hat trick and Faisal 3-17. Al-Kabbani got to the winning target of 61 for 1 in 28 balls. Imran Qaiser remained unbeaten on 50.
Arcoma trounced Zamil Cool Care by 8 wickets. Zamil Cool Care posted 130 for 4. Sohail made 26, Abid 36 and Kamran 33 not out. Arcoma got to the target of 131 for 2 in 80 balls. Taher remained unbeaten on 52 and Anas Malik unbeaten on 46 as the two added 109.
Sadafco downed Azizya Elegant by 55 runs. Sadafco produced 159 for 9. Tauseef scored 34. Kamran took 3-22 and Kumail 3-26. Azizya Elegant responded with 104. Talha scored 49. Iqbal Patel grabbed 5 for 17, Wajid 3-20 and Saqib 2.
Al-Saudi Green thrashed Deloitte by 82 runs. Al-Saudi Green piled up 202 for 3. Gulzaman hammered 67 as he added 81 with Imran Kidwai (51).
Abdulrehman remained unbeaten on 45. Deloitte replied with 120 for 9. Irfan hit 47. Zeeshan took 3-16, Kausar 3-19 and Imran 2.
ATC prevailed over Black Hawks by 68 runs. ATC racked up 208 for 2 through Abdulrahim (105 not out) and Qasif H. (81 not out) as the duo added 204 in 101 balls. Black Hawks was restricted to 140 for 4. Moon hit 29, Ammad 25 and Ahsan 37. Zeeshan and Abdulkareem took 2 wickets each.
Stallions edged past Royal Brothers by 2 wickets. Royal Brothers managed 133 for 8. Hamid Khan scored 32 and Waqas 40. Hassan Ali bagged 4 for 27 and Faizan 2. Stallions reached the target of 134 for 8 in 107 balls.
Obaidurrehman stroked 28 and Abdulrafay 33. Abdullah took 3-33.
MFCC had the last laugh against Nesma Holding by 6 wickets. Nesma Holding posted 151 for 8. Jawwad made 18, Ben 26 and Sheraz 47. Babar and Imran claimed 2 wickets each. MFCC was home (152) for the loss of 4 wickets in 102 balls with Jibran making an unbeaten 46 and Waseem compiling 70.
Kashmir Strikers got the better of Hyderabad Strikers by 24 runs. Kashmir Strikers piled up 179 for 8. Kashif Kazim smashed an unbeaten 72 and Samiullah 37. Abdullah scalped 4 for 40 and Aalam 3-20. Hyderabad Strikers responded with 155 for 8. Irfan Ayazuddin made 38. Anas took 2 wickets.
Afternoon Session
Fuchs Alhamrani defeated OMD Tuskers by 5 wickets. OMD Tuskers posted 178 for 7. Yashik Alanagad scored 46, Mahesh 25. Usman took 3-19. Fuchs reached the target of 183 for 5 in 115 balls. Nazaish scored 57. Mahesh and Rameez claimed two wickets each.
In other matches: Jotun Paints humbled El Seif Co. by 145 runs; Zultrack beat Contraco by 6 wickets, Waqas XI crushed AMI Juffali by 109 runs.
