The municipality seized and discarded about 180 ton of used clothes being sold on the streets by illegal expatriates. South Jeddah Municipality head Mohammad Al-Zahrani said the municipality ran an inspection campaign over the past three weeks on Al-Sawarikh street market. It inspected 140 kiosks and shops and shut down 65 of them due to invalid licensing. The municipality also closed down unlicensed 450 kiosks selling food products. Inspectors also seized about 180 ton of used clothes being and 210 ton of expired food products. The municipality also towed away 28 vehicles selling products illegally and obstructing traffic.
