JEDDAH — The municipality seized a large amount of rotten chicken being sold by expatriates in Al-Alfiyah District. Jeddah Municipality head Mohammad Al-Zahrani said the municipality seized 2,000 butchered rotten chicken and about 1,450 live chicken kept in the expatriates' backyard. They were randomly and illegally butchering chickens and selling them to deli shops and supermarkets. Meanwhile, the municipality ran an inspection campaign on Monday where 61 retail shops were visited. The municipality issued eight violation notices to different shops, cut the electricity from seven shops and closed down 11 shops.
