UT Lines sinks Ittihad XI

JEDDAH — A superb century (110) by Hazrat Ali and an aggressive knock of 92 by Yusuf powered UT Lines to a 7-wicket win over Ittihad in the 2nd week matches of the Jotun Morning League, sponsored by Jotun Paints and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
In other matches, Lahore Badshah beat Kashmir XI by 60 runs, KAIA defeated Hyderabad Green by 61 runs and Al-Boroj downed Kashmir Stags by 6 wickets. In a relatively high-scoring match, Ittihad tallied 225 in 20 overs but UT Lines matched it ball by ball and stroke by stroke to reach 226 for the loss of 3 wickets. Hazrat smacked a solid 110 off 54 balls with 13 fours and 7 sixes, while Yusuf smashed 92 off 39 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes.

Lahore Badshah beat Kashmir XI by 60 runs. Lahore Badshah put on an impressive 204-6 through Saghir (56 off 30 balls, 4 fours, 4 sixes), Shahzad (41 off 16 balls, 5 fours, 2 six), Arshad (34 off 18 balls, 6 fours) and Awais (24). Atif and Arif picked up 2 wickets each for 38 and 14 runs, respectively. In reply, Kashmir XI was bundled out for 146. Aijaz (35) and Saber Ali (35) were the main scorers as other batsmen succumbed to Nasir (4-19) and Fida (3-33).
KAIA downed Hyderabad Green by 61 runs. KAIA posted 279-5. Fahad scored a stylish 84 (10 fours, 4 sixes) and Ahsan blasted 85 (11 fours, 4 sixes). Zeeshan (24) and Shad (23) and Majid (29) also gave good support. Ziaullah took 3-40, while a wicket each went to Jamil and Amir. In reply, Hyderabad Green started with a flourish but was restricted to 218-9. Attaullah (29), Saifullah (51, 7 fours, 2 sixes), Bilal (35, 6 fours) and Abdul Rahman (28) did the bulk of scoring, while Majid (3-8), Abdul Samad (2-24) shared most of the wickets with Umar, Riaz, Shad and Ahsan (one each) to give KAIA a big win by 61 runs.
Al-Burj prevailed over Kashmir Stags by 6 wickets. Kashmir Stags rallied to score 208-4 with Danish scoring 81 off 46 balls and Majid hit a superb knock of 73 in 45 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Owais took 2-35, while Siddiq and Kamran got one each. In reply, Al-Burj comfortably reached 209 for the loss of 4 wickets. Usman scored 67 off 35 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes), Rehan 53 (31 balls, 6 fours, 3 sixes) and Naeem 32 (13 balls, 3 fours, 2 sixes). Danish (2-27) and Majid (2-31) tried their best to contain the rivals in vain.
