Omar, Sajid, Shahbaaz slam centuries

round performance by Omar Zafar of Lahore Lions in Super League, brilliant batting by Shahbaaz Khan of Amir Holidays and Sajid Nawaz of CKK in Premier League 1 were the highlights of the ongoing Shahriyar Mirza Memorial Tournament being played at RCA grounds.
In the Super League 40-over match, Lahore Lions, batting first, piled up a mammoth 384 against Lahore Badshah, aided by a sparkling 154 by Omar Zafar, a fine 62 by Sarfaraz and useful contributions from Mansoor (43) and Nawaz (30). Fahd & Akram bowled well for Lahore Badshah and took 4 and 3 wickets respectively conceding 61 & 73 runs respectively. In reply, Lahore Badshah was bowled out for 251. Asif (50), Atif (40) and Adnan (35) batted well for Lahore Badshah. For Lahore Lions Omar Zafar bowled superbly for 4-55 and was ably supported by Nawaz (2-24) and Jamshed (2-39).
In the second match of Super League, Abdul Wahab's all round performance (80 runs and 2 wickets) guided Pak Shaheen to an easy 6-wicket victory against KFSH Blues. Batting first, KFSH Blues were bowled out for 243. Khurram Baig top-scored with 82 and was well supported by Qasim Umer (41) and Imtiaz Mohammed (37). Abdul Salam (3-43) and Faisal Khan (2-27) were the main bowlers for Pak Shaheen. Chasing a modest total Pak Shaheen romped home in 28 overs, losing 4 wickets. Wahab Khan (80) topscored while Ejaz (56) and Abrar (46) also batted well. Abdul Mallik took 2-28 for KFSH Blues.
In Premier League-1 match, Amir Holidays, aided by swashbuckling 118 off just 56 balls by Shahbaaz Khan, easily beat KFSH Green by 6 wickets in the 18th over. Batting first KFSH Green scored 185-4 with Naeem topscoring with 56 and Rehan making 54.
In a low scoring thriller, Al-Hamra scored a one run victory over Hyderabad Warriors. Batting first Al-Hamra Scored 135-4. Sarfaraz scored 31. In reply, Hyderabad Warriors were bundled out for 134. M. Ejaz Sulaiman, Zahir Mir and Majid Khan took two wickets each while Sarfaraz bagged 3-21.
Sajid Nawaz's superb 141 and Najeeb Asghar's 32 guided CKK to 66-run victory over Thales. Batting first, CKK scored 225-3. In reply, Thales scored 159 through Ghulam 28 and Shahid 26. Nouman (3-25), Umar Zafar (2-20) were the main wicket-takers for CKK.
Knight Riders scored a comfortable 76-run victory over Pak Fighters in another match. Batting first, RKR, aided by Sheriff (38), Mubashir (38) and Abdul Rahman (40), scored 206. In reply, Pak Fighters were bowled out for 130 in 16 overs. Zafar (32) and Waqar (26) batted well for Pak Fighters. Abdul Rahman (4-32) and Talal (3-16) were the main bowlers.
In Premier Leauge-2, Saham CC beat Green Bangla by 7 wickets with Noor and Nadeem scoring 55 runs each. Shabeer (4-17) and Nassir (3-19) bowled well for Saham CC.
Good batting by Asif (71) and Shaikh (43) helped Riyadh Warriors beat Crescent by 6 wickets. For Crescent, Mohammed top-scored with 36. Abdul Rahim, Abdul Ghafoor, Majid and Azar took 2 wickets each for Riyadh Warriors.
Kashmir XI got the better of Riyadh Panther by 15 runs. Chasing 177 to win Riyadh Panthers scored 161-9. Yasir and Nadeem played well and scored 40 and 30 runs respectively. Earlier, helped by useful contributions by Azhar Quadri (42) and Azhar Banday (46) Kashmir XI scored 177. Raheel (3-32) bowled well for Riyadh Panthers. __
