Contrasting wins in Kanoo League

JEDDAH — KAIA, Jamoom Fighters, Ittihad, Khulais and Sindh-XI demonstrated their might by scoring contrasting wins in the 4th week matches of the Kanoo Premier League which is sponsored by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Khulais-X1 beat Kashmir-XI by 6 wickets. Kashmir-XI scored 190-9. Sami 55 off 41 balls (7 fours) and Awais Malik 63 off 31 balls (2 sixes, 9 fours) batted fluently, while Patel (25) lent good support. Tariq (2-36) and Sajid (2-39) bowled well. In reply, Khulais-XI reached 193 for the loss of 4 wickets. Sajid launched the onslaught with a scintillating knock of 61 off 19 balls with 6 sixes and 5 fours. He was given admirable support by Arshad (53 — 29 balls, 3 fours, 4 sixes), Tariq (27) and Adil (23). Bilal took 2-50.
Jamoom Fighters beat Reel & Rom by 25 runs. Jamoom Fighters scored 179-7 with notable contributions from Waseem (43 — 14 balls, 5 sixes, 1 four), Zulfiqar (43 not out — 28 balls), Usman Butt (22) and Arshad (27). Imran Butt bowled well to take 4-27, including a hat trick. In reply, Reel & Rom was restricted to 154-8. Ilyas top scored with 53 (26 balls, 9 fours, 1 six) and Wajid hit 26. Usman Butt (2-35) and Ramzan (2-23) bowled with fire to earn the win.
KAIA beat Al-Boroj by 6 wickets. Al-Boroj batted first and managed 146-5. Kamran (59 — 38 balls, 8 fours) batted sensibly. Usman (16) and Naeem (19) gave good support. Amin and Majid picked up 2 wickets each. In reply, KAIA scored 147-5 in only 12.1 overs with Abdul Samad scoring an unbeaten 50 off 20 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes. Abdullah (19) and Ahsan (18) gave good support. Owais bowled with vigor for 3-20.
Sindh-XI downed Hyderabad Green by 33 runs. Sindh-XI batted first and scored 179-9 through Munawwar (34 — 21 balls, 6 fours), Mohsin (43 — 28 balls, 3 fours, 3 sixes) and Ayaz (39 — 13 balls, 4 fours, 3 sixes) with responsibility. Jameel (3-19) and Amer (2-46) were the main wicket-takers. In reply, Hyderabad Green was restricted to 146-9. Awais led a lone battle with a superb 61 (29 balls, 3 fours) while others could not handle the sharp bowling of Abdul (2-8), Shakil (2-8) and Munawwar (2-17).
Ittihad defeated Pak Young by 7 wickets. Pak Young was all out for 119 which Ittihad overhauled comfortably scoring 120-3. Hafiz Rizwan slammed a quick-fire 86 (30 balls, 7 fours, 8 sixes). Ismail picked up 2-7.

JCA Chairman Dr. Faiz Al-Abideen, who received the sponsorship check from Kanoo Area Manager Sheikh Ahmed Fawzi Kanoo at his office along with JCA officials Muhammad Iqbal and Ahmed Bin Mahfooz, thanked the Kanoo management for sponsoring JCA for the 22nd year.
Ahmed Kanoo appreciated the efforts of JCA, assured them of Kanoo's continuous support.
JCA also expressed hope that Kanoo, which had earlier sponsored teams in the JCA Leagues, will also look into the possibility of sponsoring a team in the near future.
