JEDDAH — KAIA, MB Stars and Eirad scored convincing wins over their respective opponents in the 6th week matches of the Jotun League sponsored by Jotun Saudi Arabia and organized by JCA. KAIA notched its first win over ECU Lines, thrashing it by 70 runs, MB Stars defeated Al-Boroj by 17 runs and Eirad Travels beat Kashmir-XI by 8 wickets, respectively. KAIA put on a massive total of 267-2. Majid Malik scored a brilliant century with some robust hitting. He blasted 13 fours and 10 sixes in his knock of 123 with excellent support from Abdullah (43 not out — 3 fours, 2 sixes), Ahsan (27) and Waqas (30 not out). Imran and Waqas picked up the 2 wickets to fall. In reply, ECU Lines started well with Javed scoring a superb 95 off only 35 balls with 9 fours and 7 sixes but did not receivd the required support from his teammates except Umar (32) and Imran (23). ECU Lines was restricted to 207-7. Danish claimed 4-24. MB Stars tallied 180-8 with notable contributions from Hafiz Zia (45), Ateeq (43) and Kashif (23). Sabir (2-46) and Kamran (2-8) did most of the damage with the ball. In reply, Al-Boroj was pegged down to 163-8. Asghar scored an unbeaten 60 (6 fours), Ashraf hit 41 (5 fours) and Kamran 21. Ateeq mesmerized them by taking 4-22 to seal an exciting 17-run win for MB Stars who have been in terrific form this season. Kashmir-XI managed 177-8 with Sami striking an impressive 91 off 62 balls (7 fours, 3 sixes) and Patel 21. Imran Khan came up with a tight spell, taking 3-16. In reply, Eirad Travel was merciless, scoring 178-2. Ejaz played an aggressive knock of 84 off 34 balls with 14 fours and 3 sixes. Wali made 39 and Usman 21 not out.
