Mehran and Run Riderz fought hard to come out winners in the Super and Premier divisions, respectively, in the tournament sponsored by Mumtaz Cricket Academy and organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) here. Among the large crowd, which witnessed the finals, was Sajid Khan, India's famous comedian nicknamed Gullu Dada, besides other distinguished guests. Super Division Mehran CC beat Mazaya Hyderabadi Boyz by 6 wickets. Batting first, Mazaya made 147 with Ismail scoring 40 and Fazil 31. Faqar took 4 wickets and Basharath 2. In reply, Basharath hit 47 and Usman 32 as Mehran reached the target for the loss of 4 wickets in 17 overs. Man of the Match: Faqar — 4 wickets. Premier Division Run Riderz CC got the better of Konkan Green by 29 runs in a close encounter. Run Riderz posted a mammoth total of 202 thanks to a steady innings by Minhaj (94) and Saleem (56). Siraj bowled well to claim 4 wickets and Shabaaz took 1. Konkan had a great start with Manoj scoring 77 and Saifullah 36, but the batsmen to follow failed to cash in on it, thereby failing to reach the target by 29 runs. Basith bagged 4 wickets and Rayees 1. Man of the Match: Minhaj — 94 runs. A prize distribution ceremony was held after the finals. Jawaid Munawar, CEO of RCL, anchored the presentation.
