Top teams in Mumtaz Trophy semis

RIYADH — Diamond I, Kokan Green, Run Riderz and Jamiaa reached the semifinals of Premier Division, while Mehran, Evergreen, Mazaya and Pakhtunkhwa won their matches in the Super Divison of the inaugural Mumtaz Champions Trophy at the RCL Complex.
The tournament is organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) and sponsored by Mumtaz Cricket Academy of Mumtaz Group.
Quarterfinals (Premier Division)
Jamiaa CC beat Cricketers CC by 5 wickets. Batting first, Cricketers CC made 138. Mumtaz was the top run-maker, with 38. The wicket-takers were Naaz (3) and Zabiullah (2). In reply, Jamiaa CC had a slow start, losing both the openers. But Jamiaa CC fought back through Moin (40), supported by Ejaz and Zabiullah, who made 28 each. Man of the Match: Zabiullah.
Diamond I CC got the better of Fakhre Afghan CC by 43 runs. Batting first, Diamond I tallied 198. Feroz top scored with 56. Taib Afzal supported well with 48 and Shajji hit 42. Shoiab took 2 wickets. In reply, Fakhre Afghan failed to reach the target. Kamran (43) was the top run-maker in a total of 150. Haider and Taib Afzal took 2 wickets. Man of the Match: Feroz.
Run Riderz CC got the better of Khalil Star CC by 50 runs. Batting first, Run Riderz collected 184. Rayees and Saleem produced a good partnership. Rayees scored 52 and Saleem 33. Shoaib claimed 2 wickets. In reply, Khalil Star fell short by 50 runs. Ayaz scored 29 and Shoaib 28. Asim and Sameer grabbed 3 wickets each. Man of the Match: Rayees.
Konkan Green CC beat Diamond II CC by 5 wickets. Batting first, Diamond II made 151. Top scorer Azhar (58), was supported by Khawaja (38). Manoj took 4 wickets and Siraj 3. In reply, Konkan Green had a great start as Saifullah blasted 50, supported by Manoj (38) and Tabish (24). It reached the target in the 18th over. Azhar took 2 wickets. Man of the Match: Saifullah.
Super Division (league matches)
Mazaya Hyd Boys beat Telangana Warriors by 5 wickets. Batting first, Warriors was bowled out for 122. Q. Javed was the top run-maker with 35, supported by Tahir (25). Fayaz claimed 3 wickets and Fazil 2.
In reply, Mazaya Hyd Boys had a great start with Asghar making 61. Ismail hit 20 as the team hit the target in 12 overs. Man of the Match: Asghar.
Evergreen CC beat Mughal CC by 47 runs. Batting first, Evergreen made 182. Khawar was the top run maker with 66, followed by Salman (40). In reply, Mughal made a slow start. Sandeel made the most with 37. Tight bolwing by Farooq (3 wickets), Adil (2) and Khawar (1) restricted Mughal to 135. Man of the Match: Khawar Zafar.
Pakhtunkhwa beat Royal fighters by 6 wickets. Batting first, Royals made 159. Mustafa was the top scorer with 59. Hashim hit 45. Farmaan took 2 wickets. In reply, Pakhtunkhwa was off to a fine start. Naveed scoring 40 and Farmaan 60. Pakhtunkhwa reached the target in the 17th over, losing 4 wickets. Man of the Match: Farmaan.
