Shakeel clinches hat trick as bowlers call the shots

Shakeel clinched a hat trick while Cousin XI, Universal XI, GBest IDB, Jeddah Tigers, Arcoma, MFCC and Mercedes Benz emerged winners in the WPCA Morning T20 tournament sponsored and managed by WPCA.
Cousin XI defeated Wolves XI by 57 runs. Cousin XI, opting to bat first, racked up 192 for 4 as Haroon remained unbeaten on 43. Irfan Khan hammered 63 in 42 balls and Haroon 43. Naveed Qamar scored 30. Tayyab scalped 3 for 11. Wolves XI was left stranded at 135 for 6. Fayaz made 28 and Tayyab 15 not out. Irfan took 3 for 20.
Universal won against Crown Blue by 35 runs. Universal XI piled up 155 for 6. Bilal Ahmed scored 55, Shakeel Hussain 31 and Ahmed 25 not out. Qurban took 2-22 and Saqib Butt 2-38. Crown Blue was bowled out for 120. Saqib Butt hit 34, Haseeb 18 and Faizi 31 not out. Shakeel grabbed 4 for 31 with a hat trick, Rashid 3-19 and Tariq Siddiqui 2-19.
GBest IDB trounced Al-Saudi Green by 8 wickets. Al-Saudi posted 111 for 9 with Faiz smashing 41, Imran Kaleem 15 and Manzoor an unbeaten 25. Zohaib scalped 2-23. GBest needed 72 balls to reach 114 for 2. Junaid hammered an unbeaten 75 in 42 balls with 2 sixes and 9 fours.
Jeddah Tigers had the better of Gujarat Eagles by 7 wickets. Gujarat Eagles posted 123 for 3. Waqas remained unbeaten on 45, Ajmal hit 34 and Qalb 20. Usman took 2-11. Jeddah Tigers was home (124) for 3 in 92 balls. Abdullah Khan hit an unbeaten 52 in 45 balls, Waseem 20 and Waheed 30.
Arcoma thrashed AOT Digital Technology by 45 runs. Arcoma, batting first, piled up 158 for 6. Ayaz made 22 and Anwar Malik 31 as the duo added 55. Nabeel hit 3 fours to remain unbeaten on 23 and Ismail on 45, while Nabeel added 23. AOT was restricted to 113 for 5. Zakir Habeeb scored 29, Anas Ali unbeaten 26 and Saqlain 27. Arsalan scalped 2-11 and Nabeel 2-26.
MFCC had the last laugh against Hanifa Tigers by 6 wickets. Hanifa Tigers, opting to bat, posted 122 for 5. Kashif was the top scorer with 57 in 41 balls as he added 71 with Nouman (18) to take the total to 109 for 4 from 38-3. Mehfooz took 2-20. MFCC achieved the target of 123 for 4 off 48 balls. Imran smashed an unbeaten 85 in 26 balls with 3 sixes and 15 fours as Waseem compiled 17.
Mercedes Benz prevailed over Star XI by 38 runs. Mercedes Benz posted 163 as Saif Rana made 64, Shafeeq Kavil 12, Ilyas 22 and Jibran 18. From 155 for 5 Mercedes Benz was bundled out for 163. Nadeem grabbed 3-28, Rizwan 2-19 and Usman 2-39. Star XI, in response, was restricted to 125 for 9. Nadeem hit 25, Rizwan 27 and Waqas (batting at No. 9) 25. Javed was the wrecker-in-chief with 5 for 20 and Jabran 3 for 18. — SG
