Abdulwahab excels, bowlers dominate

Stallions defeated Al-Mazroi, Jeddah Challengers got the better of QRCC, New Young Stars downed Zamil Cool Care, Deloitte lost to INMA, Brasa De Brazil had the last laugh against Al-Kabbani Cricket Group and Tata Motors humbled Rehab Riders in the WPCA Morning T20 Tournament.
Stallions defeated Al-Mazroi XI by 35 runs. Stallions, opting to bat first, piled up 182-9. Abdulwahab smashed 97 runs in 45 balls with 5 sixes and 12 fours as he added 101 in 49 balls for the first wicket with Abdulrehman (33). Abdulrafay made 15. Saqib took 3-35, Farhan 2-30 and Sohail 2-33.
Al-Mazroi was stranded at 147-8 in 18 with only Faruk making 52 in 32 balls, Tauseef 19 and Mohsin Chand 17. Abdulwahab was the pick of the bowlers with 4-11 while Jawwad took 3-35.
Jeddah Challengers won against QRCC by 7 wickets. QRCC posted 155-5. Yasir top scored with 60 in 46 balls. Sadiq Memon hit 26, Zahid 23 not out and Abdulrauf 24 not out. Jeddah Challengers, in chase, slumped to 36-3 but Rizwan hammered an unbeaten 58 in 34 balls and added a match-winning 120 in 70 balls for the unbroken fourth wicket with Adil, who blasted unbeaten 61 in 36 balls, to get to 15607 in 103 balls. Abdulrauf was the only successful bowler with 3-17.
Tata Motors humbled Rehab riders by 5 wickets. Rehab Riders collected 137-7 through Sahim (17) and Atiaq (42). Maqsood was run out for 31. Jaffar Kazmi took 2-20 and Uzair 2-22.
Tata Motors reached 140-5 in 80 balls. Amir Hashmi slammed an unbeaten 62 in 32 balls and Jaffar Kazmi was run out for 46. Mudassir Iqbal made 15. Kamran grabbed 2-32.
Brasa De Brazil downed Al-Kabbani by 11 runs. Brasa De Brazil was bowled out for 149. Nauman made 13, Kashif 17, Waseem Jr. 16, Shahid Yusuf 16 to be struggling at 67-5. Then Abdulrehman hit 40 and Faizi 18 to get to a respectable total. Jamil grabbed 4-8 and Asad 4-37.
Al-Kabbani Cricket Group, in reply, was restricted to 138-9. Imran Qayyum hit 43 and Luqman 23. Abdulrehman scalped 4-28 and Faiz 3-22.
Emper Perfumes trounced Royal Brothers by 33 runs. Emper Perfumes, using the track first, racked up 181-9. Usman Amjad top scored with 43, Usman Jani hit 20, Kashif 24, while Shahzad Khan and Zubair made an identical 16. Afsar took 3-20 and Abdullah Khan 3-43.
Royal Brothers, in response, could not go beyond 148-4. Waqar stroked an unbeaten 36, Waqas unbeaten 46 and Muneer 19.
INMA tamed Deloitte by 7 wickets. Deloitte, batting first, posted 136-9. Emad made 28, Owais 39 and Ahsan 19. Nadeem claimed 4-19 and Ikram 2-17.
INMA reached 137-3 in 102 balls. Satish scored 46 and Ranjeet 25 as the two produced 78 for the first wicket. Ashish was unbeaten on 20 and Nadeem 24. Irfan took 2-30.
New Young Stars had the last laugh against Zamil Cool Care by 27 runs. New Young Stars produced 141-5 through Amir (46) and Rizwan (17). They added 64 for the first wicket. Naseer stroked 26. Imtiyaz took 3-25.
Zamil Cool Care was then bundled out for 114. Raees made 23 and Sohail 19. Rizwan grabbed 4-22 and Abrar 2-29. — SG
