11 dead, 11 injured in multiple accidents

A total of 10 people died with 10 others injured in multiple road accidents. Asir Red Crescent spokesman Ahmad Asiri said an accident occurred on the Abha-Darb Road, resulting in five deaths. Three others were injured. Another accident occurred on Abha-Mahayel Asir Road near Al-Nahiyah village. The accident involving a truck and a passenger car resulted in the death of one person and injuries to five others. The victims were transported to Mahayel General Hospital. A third accident on the International Coastal Road resulted in the deaths of four people and injuries to two. The victims were transported to Al-Qahmah General Hospital. Meanwhile, a man died and another was injured in a road accident in Baha province. Red Crescent spokesman Emad Al-Zahrani said the accident occurred in Al-Mikhwah governorate.
Truck topples over,
driver injured
KHAMIS MUSHAYT, ASIR — A truck toppled over in Tandaha District east of the governorate. Khamis Mushayt Civil Defense reported rescue officers pulled out the driver who was trapped inside the overturned truck. The injured driver, an Indian national, was taken to a nearby hospital.
Police arrest Saudi
for shooting expat
MAKKAH — A Saudi man was arrested for shooting and injuring another man. Makkah Police spokesman Col. Ati Al-Qurashi said police received reports of an Arab man in his 30s getting shot by a Saudi in his 40s. The victim was shot in his thigh and was transported to hospital. He is in stable condition. The shooter was arrested and the gun he used was seized.
41 beggars rounded
up in EP crackdown
EASTERN PROVINCE – Police here arrested 41 beggars in Hafr Al-Batin. Eastern Province Police spokesman Col. Ziyad Al-Ruqaiti said police organized an inspection campaign in cooperation with the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice and the Social Follow Up Office. The campaign resulted in the arrests of 41 beggars, including women and children. Only one of the beggars was a Saudi and the rest were from expatriates of different nationalities. Police seized money and other belongings found in their possession.
Asian worker dies
after face punch
MAKKAH — A man died due to internal bleeding after being punched in the face in a fight. Makkah Police spokesman Col. Ati Al-Qurashi said a group of Asian expatriates got into a fight in a public area. The victim was punched in the face and fell to the ground and did not get up again. Witnesses were worried and called the police. Paramedics rushed to the scene and found the victim bleeding from his nose. He was declared dead at the scene.
