Bowlers dominate SCC Morning Twenty20

JEDDAH — Gujarat XI, Arcoma, Royal Brothers, Brasa De Brazil, Crown Blue, Sadafco, GBest IDB, Jeddah Challengers and ALJ Toyota won their respective matches in the SCC Morning T20 tournament organized by WPCA here.
Gujarat Eagles beat Harsco Baroom by 13 runs. Gujarat Eagles produced 149 for 6. Adil hammered 54 in 34 balls, Sajjad 32 and Malik Arshad 36 not out. Ali scalped 3-22 and Ahmed 2-28. Harsco Baroom responded with 136 for 7. Hassanat stroked 34 and Mansoor 30. Ajmal took 2-38.
Arcoma defeated Al-Kabbani Cricket Group by 5 wickets. Arcoma reached the target of 147 for 5 in 105 balls through Ismail Ishaq (55) and Pervez Abid (44). Asad took 2-34.
Royal Brothers edged past INMA by 4 wickets. INMA was bundled out for 86 with only Ikram (16) and Nadeem (15) among the runs. There were 22 extras. Hamid Khan took 2-8, Abdullah 2-10 and Shoaib 2. Royal Brothers chased 87 for 6 in 70 balls to win. Hamid Khan remained unbeaten on 45 in 32 balls. Royals slumped to 87 for 6 from 47 without loss. Imran bowled magnificently in trying to defend a meager total with 4-19.
Crown Blue humbled Mercedes Benz by 4 wickets. Mercedez Benz posted 143 for 9 as Jabran notched 16, Ilyas 29, Amrat 16, Javed 27 and Habib 15. Naveed Sulairia took 3-23, Nadeem 2-17 and Iftikhar 2-24. Crown Blue won the match by 4 wickets by reaching 147 for 6. Naveed Sulairia hit 43, Saleem Meher 45 not out, Saqib 26 and Zahoor 16 not out. Javed scalped 2-24.
Brasa De Brazil thrashed Rehab Riders by 6 wickets. Rehab Riders was bowled out for 139. Maqsood made 36, Saleem 18 and Amjad 28. Bilal grabbed 4-31, Wasim 3-25 and Arshad 2-27. Brasa De Brazil achieved 142 for 4 in 89 balls. Bilal remained unbeaten on 57 and Waseem 38 as the two added match-winning 76. Maqsood got 2-20.
Sadafco crushed Star XI by 8 wickets. Star XI was restricted to 95 for 6 as Kaleem stroked 17 and Hasnain 20. Iqbal Patel claimed 3-12. Sadafco got to 99 for 2 as Zameer smashed a match-winning 55 in 20 balls. Umar scalped 2-42.
GBest IDB trounced Tata Motors by 3 wickets. Tata Motors produced 172 for 9. Irfan stroked 20, Noor Butt 16, Hashmi 15, Jaffar 18 and Yusuf 33. Islam grabbed 4-21 and Alam 3-25. GBest IDB raced to the target in 106 balls to make 173 for 7, thanks to Raees making 24 and Jaffer 37. Aleem scored 30, Alam 24 and Adeel 16. Jaffer grabbed 4-45 and Irfan 2-43.
Jeddah Challengers prevailed over Cousin XI by 6 wickets. Cousin XI was bowled out for 145 with Aqeel making 31 and Naveed Seher 44. Majid took 3-24, Omar 3-39 and Maqsood 2-41. Jeddah Challengers responded with 147 for 4 in 90 balls. Rizwan was the architect of the win as he hammered 75, Abdul Aziz 26 and Faisal 24.
ALJ Toyota had the last laugh against Al-Mazroi XI by 7 wickets. Al-Mazroi was bowled out for 131 as Farhan Patel stroked 52 in 37 balls, Sohail 23 and Farooq 17. Aamir scalped 5-17, Bilal 3-37 and Arif 2-27. ALJ Toyota chasing reached 135 for 3 in 86 balls. Basheer hit 41 and Azeem 25. Aftab remained unbeaten on 17 and Bilal on 22.
