Etihad Etisalat known as Mobily won the “Digital Excellence Award” in fifth round of a contest by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MITC), the company said in statement. The award was handed by Minister of Telecom and Information Technology Eng. Mohammad Jameel Mulla in a ceremony held at a hotel in Riyadh. Mobily's website www.mobily.com.sa also came second in the business category, the company said. Nasser Al-Nasser, Mobily's Chief Technical Officer-MRN, received the award on behalf of the company Al-Nasser pointed that the goals of this award came in parallel with the rapid development that telecom technology is going through, the company said. “This award came to support the enormous efforts that are being made by government entities and the private sector institutions to serve society by preparing their websites with the services that can fulfill its customers' needs,” he said. Al-Nasser said “Mobily” adopts the enrichment of the Arabic and English digital content on the web through its own website or by supporting and encouraging ideas generated by its customers.
