Afridi, Fahad, Shahid shine with bat and ball in WPCA

Farid Afridi of Attieh and Fahad of Crown hit tons as Shahid of Hala Academy White took five wickets during Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) event.
Mazco beat Elaf Advance by seven wickets after it overhauled the target of 141 for the loss of three wickets. Amir Ali hit 72 and Rashid Malik 34. Hasnain took 2-35 for Elaf, which was restricted to 140 for 8 as Samer grabbed 4-28 runs, Amer Ali 2-21 and Tabassum 2-24 with only Usman Gulab contributing 33.
Crown Steel beat Zultec by 54 runs after amassing 242 and then restricted the latter to 188-9. Fahad hit an unbeaten 100 off 45 balls and Babar remained not out on 50, putting on 145 for the fifth wicket. Hammad earlier made 51 off 27 balls. Jawed Iqbal took 2-61 for Zultec, for whom Jawad hit 44, Javed Iqbal 36, Abdullah Essa 32 and Imran 29. Abu Huraira scalped 3-17, Ijaz 2-28 and Shoaib 2-32 for Crown Steel.
In another match MCC beat Hala Academy Blue by nine runs. MCC put on 134-7 against Hala Academy Blue as prolific Aftab Khan smashed 71. Abdul Haleem took 4-15 and Safiuddin 3-24. Hala was restricted to 125-7 as Talha made 33, Safiuddin remained not out on 31. Assad took 3-21 and Zahoor 2-25 for MCC.
In a lopsided encounter AMI Juffali thrashed GGI by seven wickets as AMI Juffali was home with 128-3 in 68 balls. Rafi Gujjar remained not out for 41 and Nadeem hit 41. Pervez bagged 2-27. Earlier GGI had put on 126-8 with Pervez making 34 and Atiq 36. Sufian bagged 3-21 and Habib 2-24.
My Care Hala Green humbled Crown Blues by 103 runs. Batting first Hala Green scored 218-8 and then bolwed out Crown Blue for 115 runs.
Hassan Malik scored 45, Shoukat remained unbeaten on 35 and Yasir hit 29 for Hala Green. Nadeem scalped 3-40. None of Crown Blues players could put on a decent individual score as Emad grabbed 3-16, Akram 3-35 and Hassan Malik 2-31.
In another outing Al Safree beat Fuchs Hamrani by seven wickets. Fuchs Hamrani put on 143-9 thanks to Rashid who hit an unbeaten knock of 71 off 35 balls. Azhar took 2-15, Sarfaraz 2-16 and Wasiq 2-36 for Al Safree, which achieved the target in 91 balls. Manjeet remained unbeaten on 38, Shahid hit 29, Shoaib 27 and Azher 31 not out. Irfan bagged 2-31.
In other matches Contraco beat Zultrack by 14 runs; Attieh Steel beat OTEX by 56 runs; AAA won against Rayyan Khan Batkool by four wickets; Al Mazroi defeated Mercedes Benz by 38 runs; Hala International School lost to Hala Academy White by seven wickets.
