The participation of the Kingdom in Intel International Science and Engineering exhibition (ISEF) resulted in achieving multiple international accomplishments. The latest was the kingdom's achievement of the first award in the exhibition that was recently held in Los Angeles in the United States. The kingdom, represented by King Abdul Aziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education, achieved its 5th winning respectively in Intel ISEF 2011 with a team of 29 students that participated with 18 projects. The student Bayan Mohammad Mshat (Dar Al Tarbya Al Haditha schools in Jeddah) won the first place with her project in social and behavioral science area, while the student Mohammad Bin Moataz Ghulman (Dar Al Theker schools in Jeddah) won the 4th place with his project in cellular and molecular biology area (Cancer ure in an innovative way) which brought the Kingdom ahead of all the Arab countries. This year's participation was distinguished by the winning of the first Saudi girl student Bayan Mohammad Mshat in Intel International for Science and Engineering exhibition (ISEF) which one the first place as a first accomplishment in this level since the Kingdom's students started participating in 2007. The result of the profitable cooperation between Ministry of education and skills. The respective winning of the Saudi student carries a lot of implications, most importantly that the participation of the Kingdom's students in international competitions and exhibitions is not for honoring only but for competing on advanced places, along with the progressive growth of the students interests in scientific research in specific and technology in general. Intel International exhibition for Science and Engineering (ISEF) is considered the only one in the world for the pre-university stage, which provides the students with all sciences. More than million students compete yearly in around 500 exhibitions of local regional science exhibitions that are sponsored by Intel Company, among which more than 1500 students qualify representing around 64 countries to compete on awards worth more than 3 million dollars in 17 scientific areas.
