The Competition of Giftedness "Mawhiba" Exhibition for Science and Engineering 2010 "MSEF/ISEF" ended its activities here today. More than 35 competitors participated in the Expo organized by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in cooperation with the Jeddah-based Dar al-Fikr schools. Director of programs at King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity Ahmad al-Baloushi said the Expo was held as part of preparations for selecting candidates to represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at 'Intel' International Fair to be held in San Jose in the United States of America on May 09-14, 2010. This constitutes the biggest scientific contest in the world for pre-university students which is organized with the participation of about 1, 500 students from more than 50 countries including the Kingdom. The Competition was launched in Asir, Al Khobar, Al Ahsa, Jeddah, and Al Qassim on December 24, 2009.
