The Riyadh Police have arrested a Saudi who shot and wounded his colleague, also a Saudi, at the King Khalid University Hospital in Riyadh on Sunday. Col. Fawaz Al-Mayman, spokesman for the Riyadh Police, said that preliminary investigation had revealed that the perpetrator was working as an administrative officer in the hospital. He was arrested after the Al-Deraiya police station received a complaint of the incident. An unlicensed handgun was seized from the attacker, who confessed to the shooting due to a previous dispute. The injured man, in his 30s, was reported to be in stable condition. The General Investigation and Prosecution Bureau in Riyadh was notified to complete the necessary procedures for prosecuting the perpetrator.
