The Makkah police have arrested eight African nationals for attacking a traffic policeman at Al-Hamara Corniche in Jeddah on Tuesday. A shocking video showed a group of men on quad bikes attacking the policeman when he tried to stop one of them for an offense. Another biker in the group tried to run over the policeman as he was walking towards his unmarked vehicle. Other bikers joined in the attack and also tried to run over onlookers who tried to help the policeman, causing chaos at the Corniche. On interrogation, the attackers confessed to their crime. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Makkah Governor, praised the security men for arresting the attackers within a short time. He thanked them for their efforts to maintain peace and ensure the safety of all residents.
