Published in Saudi Press Agency on 06 - 05 - 2012

The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja highlighted the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Austria, saying that they have been steadily growing in the political, scientific, cultural and economic fields since 1957.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the occasion of the opening of the Saudi-Austrian Forum, co-organized by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture and Information to be kicked off tomorrow in Vienna to mark the 55th anniversary of the Saudi-Austrian relations, Dr. Khoja said that the Saudi Government under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is proud of the depth of these relations, stressing the commonalities between the two countries.
Due to the shared positions of the two countries in supporting global peace and understanding among cultures and civilizations, Vienna has been selected to be the headquarters of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Center for Dialogue among Followers of Religions and Cultures, he said.
Dr. Khoja added that whoever closely follows up the Austrian Foreign balanced policy which supports the fair issues like the Palestinian Cause makes sure that this country, which hosts a significant number of international organizations, should be an interlocutor partner in building peace and serving humanity.
Dr. Khoja concluded that there are strong economic and scientific partnerships between the two countries.
Similar statements were issued by Prince Mohammed bin Saud bin Khalid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Information and Technology Affairs, who is also Chairman of Organizing Committee of the Saudi-Austrian Forum; and Prince Mansour bin Khalid, Saudi ambassador to Austria.
