OIC trade has reached 17.30% of the total trade exchanges for Member States, up from 14.50% recorded in 2004 before the Trade Preferential System of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (TPSOIC) was established. Ihsanoglu emphasized that TPSOIC would give participants access to the OIC's US$ 1.7 billion market with a real worth of US$3 billion. In the same context, the Secretary General revealed the success recorded in the monetary standard, explaining that trade exchange among OIC Member States increased from US$ 205 billion in 2004 to US$ 539 billion in 2011.
