Two Hundred Thirty Seven persons throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who have relatives in custody at Guantanamo and Bagram prisons, have enjoyed chances offered to them by the Saudi Arabian Red Crescent (SARC) to greet and exchange family and friendly talk with those behind bars outside. Using visual communication program, the SARC today concluded phase VIII of the program for Guantanamo arrestees and phase I of those in Bagram upon instructions of Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, SARC President. In 20 calls from Riyadh, Makkah, Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, Abha, Najran, Jazan and Hail, families, relatives and close friends of the prisoners were able to get re-assured of their personal situation, thanking the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the President of SARC for offering them this rare social gesture.
