Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Friday met with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu and discussed bilateral ties and regional developments, especially the situation in Syria. Judeh and the Turkish minister stressed the need to continue consultation and coordination on various common concern issues, affirming the strong ties between Jordan and Turkey. They also stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria, noting the need to support UN and Arab League envoy Kofi Annan's mission to stop violence in Syria and start political dialogue, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported. In press statements after the meeting, the two officials voiced keenness to preserve security and stability of Syria and end violence in the Arab country.
