Eight people were injured when a building partially collapsed north of Beirut, UPI quoted Lebanese security officials as saying Saturday. The victims were all construction workers who were living in the building located at a resort in the beach town of Tabarja, The Beirut Daily Star reported. Three men were rescued shortly after the collapse occurred Friday and five more were freed from the rubble overnight. The Interior Ministry said the building belonged to a construction company but had not been registered with the government since 1970. The Tabarja Beach Complex said the building was on their property but belonged to an independent ownership group.
