The Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf has commended the achievements of National Water Company during the last period through its projects achieved in record times despite the short time of its establishment, valuing its investment plans by attracting the best efficient cadres and the transfer of distinguished expertise to the Saudi market in the development of water and environmental treatment sectors. In a meeting held here recently on the Company's activities, Dr. Al-Assaf also praised the successes of the Company in drying a drainage lake in Riyadh in a record time and its efforts to develop water and sanitation networks in Riyadh and Jeddah. For his part, addressing the meeting, the Minister of Water and Electricity and Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors, Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Hossein also praised the Company for its roles in the management and operation of water and environmental treatment sectors throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is noteworthy that the Company has a surplus of water as a result of early discovery of visible and invisible leaks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by using modern techniques. The total savings amounted to 67 million cubic meters, worth more than SR 400 million in 2011, after its application of methods and means aimed at improving performance and water demand management, and reducing operating costs.
