Japanese shares climbed more than One per cent Monday after three days of losses on better-than-estimated national economic data and gains on Wall Street and European markets. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average added 122.69 points, or 1.37 per cent, to close at 9,086.41. The broader-based Topix index was up 8.93 points, or 1.16 per cent, at 777.12. Tokyo stocks opened higher, with the Nikkei jumping by as much as 1.7 per cent on opening after it closed on Friday down 3.61 per cent for the week. On Friday after Japan markets closed, the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 1.13 per cent on positive retail data.
