Under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and in the presence of Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Tabuk Region, the Ministry of Transport will organize here on Sunday, Muharram 16, 1433, corresponding to December 12, 2033, a ceremony to lay the foundation stone of the project of Tabuk-Madinah Expressway. This was disclosed to the Saudi Press Agency by the Minister of Transport, Dr. Jabara bin Eid Al-Suraiseri. The Minister of Transport thanked the Saudi leadership for its support for the transport sector. The minister said that works on the project began through several stages whose total length is "78" kms, including this phase whose foundation stone will be laid with a length of "50" kms and is estimated to cost SR 340 Million. The Minister said that the total length of the Tabuk-Madinah Expressway is "588" km. He added that the road will reduce the distance of the current road by more than 100 kms.
