AlHijjah 27, 1432, Nov 23, 2011, SPA -- Secretary General and Chief Executive of Arab British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) Dr. Afnan Al-Shuaibi has asserted that the ABCC contributed effectively to the development of Arab-British trade and economic relations for more than about 40 years. In a statement she delivered today to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the occasion of founding ABCC 35 years ago, Dr. Al-Shuaibi said that the most important reason for founding ABCC was to increase volume of trade exchange and the depth of Arab-British relations between the two sides, which extend to hundreds of years. She pointed out that total trade exchange volume between the Arab world and Britain amounted to about 22 billion GBP in 2010, up more than 22 per cent compared to 2009.
