First Deputy of President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce Issa Haydar Murad discussed with Chair of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) Baroness Symons means of forging closer economic, trade and investment relations between Jordan and the United Kingdom. The meeting, which aimed to acquaint British businessmen with investment opportunities in Jordan, also discussed accomplishments that have been achieved in Jordan over the past few years, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported. Murad highlighted the strong Jordanian-British ties as well as Jordan's keenness to further develop them, mainly in the trade and economic fields. He also called for boosting the Kingdom's trade relations with EU countries through agreements that have been signed such as the Aghadir Agreement. Baroness Symons voiced interest in Jordan's investment climate, mainly in the tourism, health care, pharmaceuticals, and IT fields. She also highlighted the role of the chamber in promoting relations with Jordan. The Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1975, is a membership organization that exists to promote economic activity and trade in both directions between the UK and the 22 member states of the Arab-League.
