AlHijjah 18, 1432, Nov 14, 2011, SPA -- Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Valerie Amos, United Nations Undersecretary for Humanitarian Affairs signed here today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the coordination of humanitarian action and cooperation in disaster-affected areas in the world. The MoU was signed during the visit of Valerie Amos to the headquarters of the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah where she met the OIC Secretary General, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu and with whom she discussed future cooperation in humanitarian services, as well as deepening relations and consultations between the two international organizations for the betterment of common Humanitarian Action.
