AlHijjah 26, 1432, Nov 22, 2011, SPA - Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, received Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the visiting Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), here yesterday. For his part, the Kuwaiti Emir lauded OIC's efforts in strengthening Islamic solidarity. The OIC Secretary General briefed the Emir on the OIC activities, projects and programs in the member states as well as other countries. During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments in the region. On the other hand, Prof. Ihsanoglu met with Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa Al-Shamali and discussed the joint cooperation in various fields; Kuwait's support for the OIC's Ten-Year Program of Action and OIC's other activities, especially in the scientific field, according to a press release of OIC issued in Jeddah on Monday.
