Dhabi, Dhu-AlHijjah 5, 1432, Nov 1, 2011, SPA -- The First Joint Ministerial Meeting for Strategic Dialogue between the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Federal Republic of Russia, co-chaired by the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the rotatory chairman of the GCC current session and Russia's Foreign Minister Serji Lavrov, concluded in Abdu-Dhabi earlier today. Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the GCC attended the meeting. During the meeting, a number of issues of mutual concern were discussed. Al Nahyan said the GCC countries consider Russia an important strategic partner and role-player in bringing about peace and stability in the Gulf region.
