AlQa'dah 19, 1432, Oct 17, 2011, SPA - Japanese stocks climbed 1.5 per cent Monday as export-oriented issues were bolstered by the yen's easing against major currencies, and by rallies on Wall Street and European markets. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 131.64 points, or 1.5 per cent, to close at 8,879.6 while the broader-based Topix index was up 13.07 points, or 1.75 per cent, at 761.88, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA".
