Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average inched higher Wednesday following gains on Wall Street as fears of the European financial woes were receding. The Nikkei added 5.70 points, or 0.07 per cent, to 8,615.65 while the broader-based Topix index was up 5.52 points, or 0.74 per cent, at 754.07, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA."
