EU Supports GCC Initiative to Settle Crisis in Yemen

European Union (EU) has supported the initiative of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States in solving the Yemeni crisis.
In a statement, EU High Representative Spokeswoman, Catherine Ashton adds her voice to those of the GCC as expressed in the statement of the GCC Ministerial Council of September 23, 2011 by calling on President Abdullah Saleh of Yemen to meet his commitment to transfer power and sign the GCC initiative.
