The presidents of Russia and Tajikistan signed an agreement on border cooperation here on Friday. The signing ceremony of this and other documents was held after the negotiations between the delegations of the two countries in Dushanbe, as Itar-Tass reported. Dmitry Medvedev and Emomali Rakhmon inked the border cooperation agreement and issued a joint statement. The Russian Federal Security Service and the Tajik National Security State Committee signed the protocols on border cooperation in the presence of the presidents. Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko and Tajik Deputy Prime Minister Murodali Alimardon signed an intergovernmental program for economic cooperation in 2011-2014.
