In continuation to the humanitarian support extended by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, has ordered that, using the Ministry of Defense and Aviation's facilities, an air lift will be appropriated to transport "in kind" donations for the relief of the Somali people. In a statement, Dr. Saed Alorabi Alharthi, Advisor to the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also Chairman of the National Campaign for the Relief of the Somali people, said that the air lift will be commenced on Sunday 28th of Ramadan from Jeddah airbase and will continue over the coming days. Upon instructions of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also General Supervisor of the Campaign, organizers managed to dispatch snacks to the needy in Somalia, he said, adding that the campaign still receives donations on the declared accounts at Saudi banks.
