Head of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs in Maldives Sheikh Mohammad Rashid has expressed thanks to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and the Saudi people for their support for Islam, Muslims and suffering peoples around the world. Sheikh Mohammad Rashid also thanked Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister and General Supervisor of the Saudi Charity Campaign for Relief of the Victims of the Earthquake and Tsunami in East Asia, for the campaign's help to the people of Maldives. This came after an inspection visit made by the Advisor of the Minister of Interior and Head of the Saudi Charity Campaign for Relief of the Victims of the Earthquake and Tsunami in East Asia Dr. Saed Alharthi, today to one of the islands of Maldives to view the charity projects carried out by the campaign there. Dr. Saed was accompanied by Sheikh Mohammad and other officials during the visit. Meanwhile, Dr. Saed was briefed today on the project of King Abdullah City in Sri Lanka. The Saudi Charity Campaign organized an event to shed light on the city which contains 500 housing units. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Saed said these efforts are carried out in line with directives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General and follow up from the minister of interior.
