Upon directives of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also General Supervisor of the Saudi Relief Campaign for the Somali people, organizers have delivered some 200 tons of snacks to the needy in drought-stricken and starvation-hit Somalia, it was reported here today. In a statement, Dr. Saed Alorabi Alharthi, Advisor to the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also Chairman of the Campaign, said 24 flights left Riyadh and seven left Jeddah to air lift food supplies to the needy in Somalia. He added that the campaign still receives donations on the declared accounts at Saudi banks.
