Nine people were killed in road accidents in Nepal, local media reported Sunday, according to dpa. Five died when a jeep veered off a hill road late Saturday, the Republica daily reported. Three were injured. A separate accident killed four and injured 80 when a bus fell 200 metres into a ravine, also late Saturday. Police said that the bus was overcrowded. Hundreds die in road accidents in Nepal every year, caused by bad roads, overcrowding and reckless driving.
