The Shoura Council today recommended that the experience to give the private sector the chance to invest in establishing desalination stations and power generation be re-evaluated. In its 47th ordinary session held here today under the chairmanship of its Vice Speaker Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hamza Hajjar, the council also approved by majority the free duty trade zone agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Free Trade Association Countries. In a press statement following the session, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, the Secretary General of the Shoura Council, said the meeting also reviewed the annual report of the Water Desalination Corporation for the fiscal years 1428/1429 and 1430/1431. H., approving by majority that relevant studies and research be conducted to reduce the cost of construction and production of water desalination stations and provide necessary support for the Water Desalination Corporation's budget. The council also reviewed the annual report of the Ministry of Health for the fiscal years 1428/1429 and 1430/1431 H. Discussion on the report will be resumed at a future session, the official said.
