Presided over by its Deputy Speaker Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hamza Hajjar, the Shoura Council reviewed a number of reports submitted by several sub-committees including annual reports on transport, agriculture and stock market at an ordinary session here today. In a statement following the meeting, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, Secretary General of the Council, said the meeting approved with majority the Ministry of Transport's annual report for the fiscal year 1428-29 H. After having reviewed the report on the performance of the stock market for the years from 1425 through 1428 H., the Shoura Council recommended that it was sticking to its previous decision urging for the establishment of a mechanism for the stock market to keep its balance. The meeting also approved by majority the recommendations of Water, Utilities and Public Services committee on the importance of providing the necessary financial support to replenish the projects related to agricultural research, and human cadres in veterinary specialization as well as rationalization of using and consuming water. However, discussion was adjourned for a future session as some issues related to the performance of the Ministry are still pending on the agenda.
