At least three people were killed and a number of others injured in renewed violence and targeted assassinations taking place for the past few days in the city of Karachi - the capital of Sindh Province of Pakistan. Police said today they had found three bodies in different parts of the city, pointing out that preliminary investigations indicate that they are people who were victims of targeted assassinations taking place between rival armed gangs based on racism. On the other hand, police said they arrested five people from a gang involved in kidnapping for ransom in Karachi. "They have been taken to a police station for questioning. The rest of the gang members were also arrested (later)," the Police added.
