Police in the capital broke up a gang of four Asian men dedicated to kidnapping persons of their own nationality and holding them for ransom after one was arrested for dealing in hashish Sunday. The drugs arrest in the Al-Rawdha District of Riyadh led officers to the rest of the gang and the apartment they used to hold their victims in the district of Manfouha. A police statement said that large quantities of cash were found at the site and that the four had confessed to a number of kidnappings. No statement was made on the number of persons who had fallen victim to the gang.
