Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohamed Al Al-sheikh, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Council of senior Ulema (Islamic scholars) and department of scientific researches and religious edicts (IFTA), offered an advise on the current developments in the countries of Muslims. He urged Muslims to adhere to the Holy Book and Sunnah and cautioned against attacks on places of worship citing Islamic evidence against it. The Grand Mufti warned against sectarian strife and called for “peace and stability” among Muslims. “All must pay attention to the schemes planned for our region with the aim of stirring sectarian differences,” Sheikh al-Sheikh said. These “exhaust the capabilities of countries and their resources for the benefit of the enemy,” he said. “We are keen that Muslims unite and share the same voice,” al-Sheikh said.
