The Kingdom's General Mufti, Chairman of Senior Ulema (Muslim scholars) Commission and Religious Research and Ifta (religious edict) Department Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh hoped that the Third Islamic Extraordinary Summit called for by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz will be for the benefit, interest and glory of Islam and Muslims. In a speech on this occasion, he pointed out that the situations of the Muslim nation nowadays necessitate the unity of ranks, cooperation and adherence to the Islamic religion which is the only guarantee of its glory and the achievement of security in Islamic countries. The convention of the Summit in Makkah, the holiest site for Islam, doubles the responsibility of Muslim leaders to work hard for the nation's progress, glory and the pride of religion which is the source of its strength and unity, the Mufti said.
