Awwal 21, 1432, April 25, 2011, SPA -- In its 24th ordinary session presided over by its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Shoura Council discussed a number of bills on the agenda. The members passed with majority a draft memorandum of understanding on inspection and control over vessels in GCC ports. Following a thorough discussion, the meeting transferred to an ad hoc committee a report by the Social Affairs, Family and Youth Committee on the legal interpretation of "permanent residence" in Saudi Arabia stated in Article II of the Social Insurance System. Then a detailed debate took place on the amendment proposal to cancel the government committee stated in Article 7 of the Health Institutions System and to replace it by a text saying that each health facility should propose its service prices and present the proposal to the Ministry for approval. The discussion was adjourned to a future session. Discussion on another amendment on the number of beds in a public hospital was also postponed to another chance.
