Awwal 01, 1432 / April 05, 2011, SPA -- An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale jolted Ujungkulon, Banten Province, and was also felt by residents as far as Sukabumi, West Java Province, and Jakarta, on Tuesday at 11.34 a.m. local time. The quake's epicenter located 7.38 degrees southern latitude and 105.97 degrees eastern longitude, at a depth of 23 km, around 83 km southeast of Ujungkulon, ANTARA quoted information from the National Meteorological, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) as saying. "The earthquake did not have potential to trigger a tsunami," BMKG said on its official website. Reports on possible damages and casualties were not immediately available.
