Akhir 26, 1432, March 31, 2011, SPA-- Three miners were killed in a landslide that struck a mining site in the southern Philippines, an army spokesman said Thursday. According to dpa, two miners were injured in the accident Wednesday in T'boli town in South Cotabato province, 1,020 kilometres south of Manila, Lieutenant Colonel Lyndon Paniza said. The miners were resting at their bunkhouse when the landslide struck during heavy rain, burying houses and offices of the T'boli Mining Co. Paniza said the landslide also caused two mining tunnels to collapse and rescuers were still determining whether people were trapped under the rubble.
